Braveheart Medical Missions
Reach the unreachable.
OUR MISSION
We are a humanitarian organization with a mission to serve marginalized communities by providing preventive and sustainable medical treatment and programs. We strive to reach the unreachable through our mission trips to remote parts of Uganda.

Our Programs:
Living in remote parts of the world, our patients face different challenges than the ones we see in Western countries. Because of this, we strive to provide education about the importance of children wearing shoes while they play outside to avoid parasites or how sleeping under a medicated mosquito net can prevent malaria. Through education paired with treatment, we are able to have a greater impact and help prevent illness in our patients.
DENTAL HYGIENE
Oral diseases are the most common chronic diseases and can cause a lifetime of pain, discomfort, disfigurement and even death. The Braveheart volunteer dental team worked hard to see hundreds of patients this year to provide routine checkups, more intensive work when needed and tips to stay healthy!
PODIATRY
On our last mission trip, the podiatry team from Barry University were able to assess, diagnose, and treat ailments of the foot for our patients. We held shoe drives to supply our patients with adequate shoes to prevent future ailments and we provided education to minimize these problems for our patients in the future.
MALARIA TREATMENT
Malaria is a treatable, but fatal disease transmitted through infected mosquitos. Although this disease has long been eradicated from the US, it still causes almost 500,000 deaths per year according to the World Health Organization.
HEALTH & FOOD
On our last mission trip, we formed a new partnership with Jean Paul Nageri of Gayaza, who used natural resources from local farms to cure his father's diabetes. He founded Sio Valley Foods, a holistic health service with the goal of spreading his knowledge and resources across Uganda.
Braveheart has a partnership with Smiling Hearts orphanage in Lake Buyonyi, Uganda. Braveheart supplies the orphanage with a yearly supply of medications in the kiddie pharmacy while also providing yearly well-kid health check-ups, malaria, dental and vision screening with necessary treatment.
