Braveheart Foundation Disaster Relief
Immediately following Hurricane Ida, Braveheart put boots on the ground to help with relief efforts in hardest hit areas. In partnership with local government, we organized and hosted a “Catastrophe Can’t Stop Us” drive-through event where we distributed household items, cleaning supplies, hot meals, wifi, and stimulus gift cards.

Dignified Recovery
It was our goal to help connect the people with much needed governmental disaster support resources while offering encouragement for hope in a dignified recovery as residents started to rebuild their homes and lives. We also led a “Clean Sweep” initiative, during which we collected 240 tons of trash across St. John Parish.
These initiatives garnered much success which led to a “Catastrophe Can’t Stop US Tour” tour where Braveheart facilitated several mass distributions and donations throughout the devastated areas in southeast Louisiana. Life has moved forward for some communities while other communities are still fighting for the hope of a better day. In efforts to meet this need, Braveheart has consulted with philanthropic leaders regarding funding opportunities to assist the uninsured and underinsured folks in devastated areas to support home rebuild initiatives.
