Krewe of Vax
Working on the frontlines as a nurse in posts across the country, our founder, Erica Rogers, knew early in the pandemic that the highly transmissible COVID-19 was disproportionately affecting the black community at home and worldwide. When vaccines became eligible, our team moved quickly to do our part to educate and encourage our communities to get the life-saving shots. In April 2021, Braveheart Foundation, in partnership with Delgado Community College and Ochsner Health hosted our first “Krewe of Vax” Parade. Our team worked with Delgado to answer questions from local students and faculty about the vaccines.
